That looks more like software for running the same commands on multiple
remote servers rather than a general purpose xmpp server. I wonder why it
wasn't implemented as a component.

A quick look at the code reveals that it's a full XMPP server:

https://github.com/negativecode/vines/tree/master/lib/vines

And the author told me that he appreciated all the examples in the XMPP
RFCs while he was coding in complete support for the core specs.

But still... why implement the whole server. Only the agent and services
component were really necessary. I guess he just wanted to do it.
