Making XMPP4R testing easier. Ideas?

Hi,

I have the impression that one thing that has made XMPP4R perform not as
good as we would have liked is the testing infrastructure.

I'm not very familiar with the various new gems in that area. Could
someone recommend what we should use to test XMPP4R, instead of our
(poor-quality) hand-made mocking + test/unit infrastructure?

I've not used it, but I often hear about http://github.com/dchelimsky/rspec.
At least most of what I hear is good ;)
